April's Good Intention: Free Family Portraits on the Beach

The GIFA ladies' April activity was to offer free family photos at Cape Beach for anyone who would like to sign up (or drop by). We all know the struggle of getting the perfect family photo and thought it would be a lovely idea to offer to take families' photos with their cell phones. We promised to take as many photos as possible and show the family/group the photo to ensure they get a photo that they like. You can read about it here. Sounds easy enough!

So we created a sign-up genius and spread the word on social media and through our friend network. On the day of the event, six of the GIFA ladies showed up at the beach with a smile and a helpful attitude and set to work. As usual, God so lovingly took care of everything else - He provided the most beautiful, sun-drenched April afternoon that served as the PERFECT backdrop for group photos. As you will see by the photos -- the lighting was... well ...so obviously created by God who is the author of all beauty. Thank you, Jesus, for always meeting our every need!

We were touched by the smiles of the families we got to photograph and also invited a few folks who just happen to be at the beach, too! We received many questions as to why we are doing this and we always respond by letting people know we want to show others God's love through simple, heartfelt endeavors. In addition to bringing smiles to our group photo friends, we had a wonderful night of fellowship amongst our GIFA group as well. Another reminder that God provides beauty through relationships. What relationships bring you joy? Ask Him to bless all of your relationships. Give thanks for the great ones and ask for grace for those that might need it. God wants to be a part of all of your relationships.
