March's Good Intention: Honoring Those Who Inspire Others

For our March Activity, The Women of GIFA wanted to highlight God's desire for us to love our neighbor. So we hosted a contest where people could nominate someone who inspired them to win a $100 Amazon gift card!

As usual, we set out with a general idea and prayers for God to put his hand on this project. We had numerous entries and had fun drawing on Instagram to select the winner!

We notified the winner by sharing the nomination as well as giving them the $100 Amazon gift card. As a special surprise, we also gave the nominator of our winner a $100 gift card, too!

But we didn't stop there...we emailed every nominee to let them know that someone nominated them for our inspiration award and shared their positive and kind words!

The feedback we got from this project was positive and reassuring that God was indeed working allowing others to feel loved when they received their nominations. Here is what one person had to say:

"I'm honored and humbled. I have the best of volunteers and this means so much to me because it comes from them. Tears are coming to me as I miss them all so much.

God knows this past year has not been easy, with very little recognition, not that we do what we do for recognition. We do our job out of love and caring for the seniors and community. I look forward to reopening the center, safely and seeing their smiling faces in person. ;)
