Who could use a healthy dose of love and hope? For our September activity, the GIFA women enlisted the help of our families to send hope filled greeting cards to nursing home residents.

Many nursing homes have not allowed visitors since the onset of COVID back in March. Fast forward to September and some residents have still not been allowed visitors. Our hearts and thoughts went out to those individuals so we wanted to find a way to bring a little cheer into their day and provide hope for the future months ahead of them. When we contacted the local nursing homes, we were reminded that not all residents even have someone who comes and visits them. Therefore it was asked that we create cards without names so the staff could share these cards with the most in need.

Our families were happy to take on this task and we were able to send over 100 cards to two nursing homes! Each card was rooted in God's love and blessed in prayer before being sent off. We know God will get these cards into the hands of those who need it most.
